A Painting within a Painting
"I have found many times where upon re-examining a painting I see an entirely new perspective – literally "a painting within a painting".
We are all familiar with the various schools of art defined as Baroque, Barbizon, Pre-Raphaelite, Studio, Impressionism, Fauvism, etc. and at times miss the nuances that lie within the construction of a painting.
To illustrate this point I ask the reader to journey with me and experience the joy and exhilaration of viewing a section, a square inch and in some cases a single stroke of pigmentation via
brush or "palette" knife and in many ways -
"A Painting within a Painting".
Let your eye and imagination dwell on an artist's work. Search, discover and become aware of nuances within the canvas itself....."
